Cornwall Park Rambler
Situated near Cornwall Park in Bellingham, our clients desired a whole-home remodel and addition after twenty years in their historic 1940s rambler. With a focus on expanding their small kitchen and finally taking advantage of their large private backyard, the redesign opened the kitchen, family room, and living room into one connected but distinct flow. We also reworked the entry and approach to give the home a stronger, more welcoming presence.
The kitchen features a walnut butcher block island, Calacatta marble art deco tile at the range, and a custom curved hood echoing the shape of the home's original fireplace. Working closely with Chuckanut Builders, we added classic arched doorways designed to match the home's original character, along with new trim and window details throughout.
"It feels like we're always on vacation without leaving home," the homeowners say, "and we don't get to travel much, so that's exactly why we remodeled."
